Iodine-active is an organic compound of iodine embedded in a milk protein molecule.

It is analogous to the natural compound of iodine, which we start receiving with the first drops of mother’s milk.

The uniqueness of “Iodine-active” is that it is iodum-intellectus – “smart iodine”: in iodine deficiency is actively absorbed, and in excess – is removed from the body without going to the thyroid gland.

This happens because iodine is detached from milk protein under the influence of liver enzymes, which are produced when there is a lack of iodine.

When the body has enough iodine, these enzymes are not produced, and “Iodine-active” is removed naturally without being absorbed into the blood.
