Intestamin package, 500 ml

Intestamine is a glutamine replacer that replenishes vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

Provides glutamine in the form of dipeptides, antioxidants and butyrate in the form of tributyrin.

The important advantage of the product is: the possibility of early initiation of therapy (6 h from the moment of development of a critical condition).

In addition, the components in the mixture provide the following properties:

• can be combined with any enteral and parenteral nutrition;
• direct therapeutic action on the intestinal epithelium;
• providing glutamine, tributyrin and antioxidants directly into the gut.

Food value, average content per 100 ml: proteins – glutamine dipeptides (glutamine – 6 g, glycine – 2 g, nitrogen – 1.7 g) – 8.5 g; carbohydrates (maltodextrin) – 3.75 g, incl.including sugars – 0,1 g; fats (tributyrin) – 0,2 g.

Ratio of energy sources: protein – 68 %, fats – 2 %, carbohydrates – 30 %;

Directions for use

Through an enteral feeding tube at 500 ml/day, in combination with parenteral or enteral nutrition. Long-term administration is recommended, preferably for 20 h/day.

To be administered only under medical supervision. Not suitable for use as the only source of nutrition. The administered volume must be monitored.

Special Instructions

Shake before use. Do not use if the bag is damaged or swollen, or if the contents have thickened.

Do not use parenterally!
