The Ingasalin® forte solution is designed to accelerate the expectoration of viscous secretions (sputum) in the respiratory tract through an osmotic mechanism. The high concentration of salt attracts water and promotes rehydration of bronchial mucus.

Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), a component of Ingasalin® forte, has the ability to bind large amounts of water molecules and hold them in the interfibrillar space, participates in protective mechanisms, stimulating the movement of cilia, protects lung tissue from the damaging effects of enzymes.

The presence of hyaluronic acid in Ingasalin® forte significantly improves tolerance and adherence to therapy.

Ingasalin® Forte is especially indicated for patients with cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis.

The medical product Ingasalin® Forte is intended for self-administration in the home as well as for use in health care facilities.

Directions for use

The use of any jet or membrane nebulizer is recommended. An ultrasonic inhaler (e.g. SOLOPHARM NM211E Ultrasonic Inhaler) may be used for Ingasalin® solution.

Breathing should be at a normal pace for the duration of inhalation therapy, which lasts about 10 minutes.

A room temperature solution should be used for inhalation.

Please use 1 ampoule (4 or 5 ml) of the solution 2 times a day or as prescribed by the physician. Treatment can start with a smaller amount of the solution and increase the dose gradually.

Principles for using the solution

1. Before using the solution, read the nebulizer manufacturer’s instructions.

Prepare the nebulizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Take the ampoule and shake it by holding the neck

4. Squeeze the ampoule by hand so that no solution disperses and twist the valve and remove it

5. Squeeze the solution into the nebulizer reservoir

6. Use the nebulizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

7. Any residual solution in the nebulizer chamber must be emptied immediately after each use.

8. Wash the nebulizer thoroughly.

The instructions for use, maintenance and cleaning of the nebulizer must be followed.

Special Instructions

The solution refers to individual and single-use products.

Ingasalin® Forte is intended for inhalation only.

The first use of the solution should be under the supervision of a physician or qualified personnel.

The use of the solution in children should be supervised by an adult.

Bronchodilators are recommended for people who are particularly sensitive to the solution at the start of treatment to help prevent bronchospasmic reactions. Bronchodilators should be premedicated under the supervision of a physician.

If a patient has an episode of bronchospasm or persistent cough, the patient should stop treatment and inform the physician.

The solution should not be used if it is noticed to be damaged or loosely closed when the ampoule is first opened.

The remaining contents of the ampoule should not be reused.

Hypertensive solution should not be mixed with other medications.

The procedure for disposal

The product (including the unused solution) may be disposed of in accordance with SanPiN 2.1.7.2790 as Class A waste (epidemiologically safe waste which approximates by its composition to solid household waste).

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery

It is unlikely to affect the ability to drive vehicles, operate machinery and engage in other potentially hazardous activities when the solution is used correctly.

Ingasalyn® forte is not a product that can affect the psychomotor state of an individual.
