Active against various strains of influenza A and B virus, adenoviruses, paramyxoviruses, herpes simplex virus, shingles, cytomegalovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection). Inhibitory effect on virus reproduction is shown at early stages of replication.
The mechanism of action of Hyporamine is based on the inhibitory effect on viral neuraminidase. It induces production of interferon in blood cells in in vitro experiments and increases the content of interferon in the blood of patients.
In in vitro experiments it produces moderate antimicrobic effect against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi of genus Candida, some mycelial fungi.
Hyporamine is low toxic. It is not allergic, mutagenic, teratogenic and carcinogenic; it does not influence the immune status of the body.
Indications
Hyporamine tablets are used in adults and children as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent for influenza A and B, parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial, adenovirus and other acute respiratory viral infections; angina and rhinitis occurring against acute respiratory viral diseases and other infections caused by viruses sensitive to the drug.
Shingles, varicella;
Infections caused by viruses sensitive to the drug, including CMV-infection (treatment and prophylaxis).
Hyporamine can be used in children starting from 2 months old and women during pregnancy and lactation.

– dry purified extract from the leaves of sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) 20 mg

How to take, the dosage
The drug is prescribed at the earliest possible time of the disease.
– In case of influenza, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial or other upper respiratory tract viral infections, adults are prescribed 1 tablet 4-6 times/day, children over 12 years – 1 tablet 3-4 times/day, children 3-12 years – 1/2-1 tablet 2-4 times/day.
– For oral sanitation Hyporamine sublingual tablets should be kept in the mouth until complete resorption.
The duration of treatment for influenza is at least 3 days, for parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial infections, adenovirus, mixed infections or other ARIs – at least 5 days.
– In chicken pox, shingles, herpes, cytomegalovirus infection and other viral lesions of the skin and mucous membranes for adults and children over 12 years old 1 tablet 4-6 times per day, children over 6-12 years old 1 tablet 3-4 times per day, children 3-6 years old 1/2 tablet 2-4 times per day.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease: with a mild course – 3-10 days, with severe and recurrent course – 2-3 weeks. It is advisable to carry out repeated courses of treatment.
In order to prevent herpes and cytomegalovirus infections during immunosuppressive therapy, in postoperative patients the drug is prescribed 1 tablet of Hyporamine 3 times daily for 5-7 days.
Special Instructions
When prescribing the drug to patients with diabetes it should be taken into account that 1 sublingual tablet contains 529.9 mg of sucrose.
Pediatric use
Hyporamine sublingual tablets are not indicated for use in children under 3 years of age.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to the components of Hyporamine.
Side effects
A prolonged use in doses higher than recommended may increase blood clotting.
