Synopsis

Hyaluronic acid is necessary for the body to maintain the body’s water balance and prevent premature aging of the skin. Its macromolecules, consisting of repeating fragments, are found mainly in the skin (50% of the total amount in the body), as well as in the joint fluid and the vitreous body (filling fluid) of the eye.

The ingredient Hyaluronic Acid 150 mg VITAMIR® supplements provides an additional source of hyaluronic acid, replenishing its deficiency and maintaining the necessary level in the body.

A unique feature of hyaluronic acid is its ability to retain a large amount of water, exceeding its own weight of the macromolecule tenfold. Hyaluronic acid helps maintain the skin’s natural water balance, promotes hydration and helps keep the skin smooth and toned.

Located in the connective tissue of the dermis, between collagen and elastin fibers, it acts simultaneously as the “glue”, “mesh” and “skeleton” for the epidermis, being responsible for the correct structure and arrangement of cells. It also stimulates cell division during synthesis of collagen frameworks by fibroblast cells responsible for natural regeneration of the skin.

More of these cells fill the intercellular space which in turn reduces moisture loss through the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is also a key component of cartilage intercellular structures. It is produced by the synovial membrane of the joint and serves as the main component of joint synovial fluid.
