Hepatosan – detoxifying, hepatoprotective.
Pharmacodynamics
The action is caused by xenogeneic hepatocytes and their biological components which have biological compatibility with macromolecules of the human body.
The mechanism of action consists of two phases: intestinal, in which the drug performs a detoxifying action due to sorption of toxic products in intestine and metabolic (hepatoprotective) one in which the biological components contribute to restoration of functional activity of the liver. The preparation contains amino acids, microelements, vitamins, essential phospholipids, mesenchymal enzymes and cytochromes.
Detoxifying properties: manifested through sorption and excretion of toxins and toxic products from the intestine as well as sorption of high volatile fatty acids and their isomers (valerian, isovalerian, caproic, isocaproic).
Adsorptive properties: based (in the study of low-molecular-weight metabolites of obligate microflora) on delayed absorption of metabolites of the microflora of the large intestine.
Protein synthetic properties: the presence of 18 amino acids in the drug helps replenish their deficiency and synthesis of essential proteins, improves metabolic ability of liver cells, promotes sorption and excretion of toxins.
Membranostabilizing properties: manifested in protection of biological membranes from toxins as a result of inhibition of capture of toxins by hepatocytes on the one hand and stabilization of cell membranes (inclusion of phospholipids into them) on the other. Increase of detoxifying function of hepatocytes is connected with increase of concentration of glutathione as well as with increase of activity of redox enzymes.
Indications
Liver cirrhosis of various etiologies, chronic hepatopathy (hepatitis, hepatosis), acute and chronic liver failure, drug and alcohol liver damage, poisoning, digestive disorders (as part of complex therapy).
Pharmacological effect
Pharmacological properties
The drug enhances the detoxification and protein-synthesizing functions of the liver, improves the metabolic ability of liver cells, promotes the sorption and elimination of toxins. The mechanism of action of the drug has two phases: intestinal, in which detoxification occurs due to the sorption of toxic products in the intestine, and metabolic (hepatoprotective), in which the biological components of the drug help restore the functional activity of the liver. The drug contains amino acids, trace elements, vitamins, essential phospholipids, mesenchymal enzymes, cytochromes.
