Infusion of leaves of Greater Plantain increases the secretion of bronchial glands, has a mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, increases its acidity.

Indications

As an expectorant for respiratory diseases (bronchitis, tracheitis, etc.) as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Hypersecretion of gastric juice, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation.

Recommendations for use

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of leaves are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, then cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, and squeeze out the remaining raw materials.

The volume of the resulting infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take the infusion orally 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after meals for 7-10 days: children under 3 years old – 1 teaspoon, children from 3 to 5 years old – 1 tablespoon each, children from 6 to 14 years old – 2-3 tablespoons each, children over 14 years old and adults – 1/2 cup.

Shake the infusion before use.

Storage conditions

In a dry place, protected from light. Store the finished infusion in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

3 years. Do not use after expiration date.
