Gavkamen, ointment 25 g

Gaevkamen is a combined remedy of plant origin.

The action is caused by reflex reactions associated with irritation of the sensitive nerve endings of the skin and subcutaneous formations.

It has a local irritating (“distracting”), mild local anesthetic effect.

Indications

A distraction and analgesic for muscle and joint pain.

Active ingredient

Composition

Each tube contains:

levomenthol – 4.5 g;

camphor racemic – 2.5 g;

eucalyptus oil – 2.5 g;

clove oil – 0.25 g,

hard petroleum paraffin,

soft white paraffin.

How to take, the dosage

The ointment is applied to the painful areas of the skin in the area of the affected joint or muscle 2-3 times a day, 2-4 g (corresponds to a 2-4 cm long strip of ointment), the area of application of the ointment is lightly massaged.

When applying the ointment, avoid traumatic skin movements.

The area where the ointment is applied can be covered with a clean dry cloth (a loose cloth is recommended). The course of treatment depends on the severity and course of the disease and the nature of the accompanying therapy.

Special Instructions

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying the ointment. Avoid getting the ointment in the eyes and on the mucous membranes. If the drug comes into contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse them copiously with water and seek medical attention.

The effect of the drug on driving and operating machinery

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and to engage in other potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reaction.

Allergic reactions are possible; burning, tingling, feeling of cold in the areas where the ointment is applied.
