The action of the drug is provided by the presence of live lactobacilli Lactobacillus bulgaricus – 51 (LB-51) and biologically active products of their vital functions (lactic and malic acids, nucleic acids, a number of alpha – amino acids, polypeptides and polysaccharides), High content of proteins (25-30%), favorably affecting the mucous coat of the gastrointestinal tract, stimulating the regeneration processes of the mucous coat of the stomach and duodenum.

Analgesic and antacid effect due to buffering properties of the protein contained in the drug.

Indications

Treatment of the following conditions and diseases:
acute and chronic gastritis;
increased acidity of gastric juice;
peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in children from 3 years of age and adults.

As a prophylactic:

during and after treatment with drugs that irritate the gastrointestinal tract;
when using food that causes an increase in the acidity of gastric juice;
after abuse of alcohol and tobacco.

Pharmacological effect

Composition

Active substance:
Substance – 1.575 g, consisting of dried viable cells of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus strain 51 (LB-51) – at least 1*102 (number of living lactobacilli), protein – from 25.0% to 35.0% (in terms of total nitrogen – from 4.0 to 5.6%),
lactic acid – from 6.3% to 12.6%.
Auxiliary components:
Sucrose – no more than 0.9 g,
Magnesium stearate – 0.025 g.
