Galstena is a complex homeopathic medicine.

It has hepatoprotective effect as expressed by reducing the severity of cytolysis syndrome and intrahepatic cholestasis, normalizes the motor and evacuatory function of the biliary tract, eliminates symptoms of dyspepsia.

The Galstena has a choleretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory effect, prevents the formation of gallstones.

Pharmacokinetics

The action of Galstena is the result of combined action of its components; therefore kinetic observations are not possible; all components together cannot be traced by markers or bioassays.

For the same reason, the drug’s metabolites cannot be detected.

Indications

acute and chronic liver diseases (acute and chronic hepatitis, hepatosis);
gallbladder diseases (chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, postcholecystectomy syndrome);
chronic pancreatitis.

Composition

Active ingredients:

Carduus D1 – 2 ml,

Taraxacum D6 – 10 ml,

Chelidonium D6 – 10 ml,

Excipient:

ethanol 43% by weight.

Pregnancy

The issue of using Galstena during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) is decided individually depending on the clinical situation.
