The preparation of iron with a complex of vitamins, for oral administration, located in a capsule, which contains microdialysis granules and provides a gradual release of the constituent parts. The drug is used for chronic blood loss, alimentary iron deficiency, increased need for iron.

Iron is necessary for the normal functioning of hemoglobin, myoglobin, cytochromes, peroxidases and catalases. As a structural component of the topic, it participates in hematopoiesis. The presence of ascorbic acid and B vitamins* in microdialysis granules in combination with iron improves iron absorption and prevents the pro-oxidant effect of iron. Thiamine is involved as an enzyme cofactor in carbohydrate metabolism and nervous system function.

Nicotinamide is involved in cellular respiration.

Riboflavin is an essential catalyst in cellular respiration and vision processes. As a coenzyme, pyridoxine participates in the metabolism of amino acids, proteins and the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Calcium pantothenate is a component of coenzyme A and is involved in the processes of acetylation and oxidation of fats and carbohydrates.

Vitamins restore impaired metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats in the development of dystrophic disorders in the body caused by hidden iron deficiency and avitaminosis.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of hidden iron deficiency against the background of heavy and/or prolonged menstruation, pregnancy, lactation; hypovitaminosis of B group.

Composition

B1 capsule contains:

Active substances:

Anhydrous iron sulfate 150 mg;
Thiamine mononitrate 2 mg;
Riboflavin 2 mg;
Ascorbic acid 50 mg;
Nicotinamide 15 mg;
Pantothenic acid (as calcium pantothenate) 2.5 mg;
Pyridoxine hydrochloride 1 mg

Auxiliary substances:

Non Pareil granules,

Ethylcellulose;

shellac;

carmoisin supra;

isopropyl alcohol;

“1” size green/transparent capsule.

How to take, the dosage

In latent iron deficiency, 1 capsule a day. The course of treatment is 1 month.

For the prevention of hidden iron deficiency (with abundant and prolonged menstruation): 1 capsule 1 -2 days before menstruation, during the cycle and 1 -2 days after the end.

Interaction

The simultaneous use of other multivitamin complexes is not recommended in order to avoid overdose.

Do not prescribe concomitantly with antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium salts, because iron absorption is reduced.

Iron decreases absorption of tetracycline-type drugs. Pyridoxine reduces the therapeutic effect of levodopa.

Special Instructions

The urine may be colored bright yellow, which has no clinical significance and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the composition.

The treatment of iron deficiency anemia should be carried out under control of hemoglobin level and iron concentration in blood serum.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, childhood.
