Menopause, itching and dryness in the genital area

Diseases caused by insufficient estrogen in the body: Involution (atrophy) of the vagina and vulva, accompanied by itching, burning and dryness of the vagina, pain during intercourse (dyspareunia), colpitis, vulvitis, cervicitis, vaginal discharge, vaginal and cervical ulcers resulting from pressure or distension, concomitant therapy for vaginal infections and involuntary urination (urinary incontinence), lower urinary tract atrophy (urethrocystitis), pre- and postoperative treatment for vaginal surgeries, diagnosis in unclear vaginal smear results if there is a change in cellular composition pattern with signs of involution.

How to take, the dosage

Estrocade is used intravaginally, unless otherwise prescribed, 1 supoon/day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, bleeding of unclear etiology in the genital area, malignant tumors of the uterus or mammary glands caused by estrogen insufficiency.

Estrocade with caution is used if there are first signs of migraine, increased frequency of unusually severe headaches, first signs of phlebitis or thromboembolic phenomena, signs of cholestic jaundice, a sharp increase in BP, and acute visual disturbances.

Side effects

Vaginal irritation accompanied by itching, burning and redness.

In the beginning of treatment – oozing bloody vaginal discharge, painfulness and tightness of the mammary glands, cervical mucus hypersecretion, perspiration, fluid retention and associated temporary weight gain, nausea and other mild gastrointestinal disorders, rarely – migraine-like headache, very rarely – feeling of heaviness in the legs, cramps of the calf muscles.

Pregnancy use

It is not recommended in pregnancy.

When breastfeeding – with caution, in significantly reduced doses, because estriol partially penetrates into the breast milk.
