Active ingredient
Composition
Orange film-coated tablets, round, biconvex.
1 tablet. naphthidrofuryl oxalate50 mg
Auxiliary substances:
Lactose monohydrate,
Microcrystalline cellulose,
Wheat starch,
copovidone,
colloidal silicon dioxide,
magnesium stearate,
talc.
Coating composition:
Titanium dioxide, talc, magnesium stearate, macrogol 6000, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer, sunset yellow dye (E110).
How to take, the dosage
Internal, whole, without chewing, with enough fluid, (it is recommended to drink water).
In disorders of cerebral circulation: in a daily dose of 300 mg (2 tablets 3 times a day).
In case of peripheral circulation disorders: in a daily dose of 500-600 mg (3 times a day).
Dusofarm is recommended for long-term oral therapy (up to 6 months).
It is not required to correct the dose in case of renal/liver insufficiency.
Interaction
It enhances the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive drugs.
In this regard, it is recommended to monitor BP more frequently – at the beginning of combined treatment with Dusopharm and antihypertensive drugs.
Special Instructions
Duzofarm has no negative effect on psychomotor reactions and driving ability. At the beginning of treatment it is recommended to control individual tolerance of the drug and trace possible hypotensive effect in appropriate patients.
The drug contains lactose monohydrate, therefore it is not recommended to persons suffering from lactase deficiency, galactosemia or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
Patients with celiac disease (gluten enteropathy) should note that the tablet contains wheat starch.
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the drug;
myocardial infarction (acute stage);
Arterial hypotension;
Haemorrhagic stroke (acute stage);
Epilepsy, increased seizure readiness;
chronic heart failure stage II-III (III-IV according to NYHA – functional classification of heart failure of New York Heart Association);
tachyarrhythmia;
age under 18 years (efficacy and safety is not established).
With caution:
closed-angle glaucoma;
prostatic hyperplasia.
Side effects
When taken orally in doses of 300 to 600 mg Dusofarm is well tolerated in general.
Possible side effects: nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, intestinal colic, diarrhea, decreased appetite, headache, dizziness, sleep disturbance, reversible increase in liver enzyme activity, stomach mucosal ulcers, allergic reactions.
Overdose
Symptoms: increased severity of side effects, ventricular arrhythmia, anxiety, decreased BP, bradycardia.
Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal and laxatives, symptomatic treatment. There is no specific antidote.
