Dr. Taisse Echinacea forte, 50 ml

The remedy is of plant origin. Echinacea purpurea herb contains water-soluble immunostimulatory polysaccharides (4-O-methylglucuronylarabinoxylans, acidic arabinoramino-galactans); essential oils (components include germacrene alcohol, borneol, bornylacetate, pentadeca-8-ene-2-one, germacrene D, cariophyllin, cariophyllin epoxide); Flavonoids (ferulic acid its derivatives including cicoric acid, cicoric acid methyl ester, 2-O-copheoyl-3-O-feruloyl tartaric acid, 2,3-O-diferuloyl tartaric acid, 2-O-copheoyl tartaric acid); alkamides; polyenes.

It has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory effects. Polysaccharides increase phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages, stimulate the production of interleukin-1.

The complex of active substances induces transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells and improves T-helper function.

With inulin, levulez, betaine improves metabolic processes, especially in the liver and kidneys.

Indications

Enhancement of nonspecific defense factors in cases of uncomplicated acute infectious diseases and the predisposition to frequent colds; in order to stimulate immunity in patients with uncomplicated acute infectious diseases (as adjuvant treatment); prevention of SARS and flu; as auxiliary drugs in long-term antibiotic therapy for chronic infectious diseases.

How to take, the dosage

Echinacea preparations are taken orally.

The dose, frequency and duration of use are determined individually, depending on the dosage form used.

Special Instructions

Patients with recurrent respiratory tract infections require regular medical monitoring.

Do not use other immunostimulatory drugs while using Echinacea.

It is contraindicated in children under 4 years of age (for the dosage form – tablets), and under 1 year (for the dosage form – drops).

Possible: allergic reactions; when used in high doses – nausea, vomiting, stool disorders, insomnia, increased excitability of the nervous system.

Pregnancy use

It should not be used in pregnancy.
