Special instructions
The preservative contained in dorzolamide drops (benzalkonium chloride) can be absorbed by soft contact lenses, causing eye irritation and toxicity. The drug is used only after removing contact lenses.
Contact lenses should be put on no earlier than 15 minutes after instillation. It is necessary to control the content of K+, electrolytes in the blood serum and its pH.
In old age, sensitivity to dorzolamide may increase (dose reduction required).
During the treatment period, care must be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
