Combined saline solution for rehydration and detoxification.

The drug is designed to restore water-electrolyte balance and COC in the body in case of dehydration.

It also prevents the development of metabolic acidosis and increases diuresis.

In addition, it has plasma exchange, disintoxication and rehydration action.

How to take, the dosage

Intravenously (by jet and drip), under control of laboratory indices. The ratio of injected fluid to diuresis is determined every 6 hours. During 1 hour the solution is administered in amount corresponding to 7-10% of the patient’s body weight; then dropwise administration is replaced by dropwise administration for 24-48 hours at the rate of 40-120 drops/minute. Prior to administration, the solution is warmed up to 36-38°C. The solution is administered in the amounts necessary to restore the volume of fluid lost with faeces, vomit, urine and sweat.

In severe forms of diseases (hypovolemic infectious-toxic shock, decompensated metabolic acidosis, anuria) the drug is started with trickle administration with subsequent transition to drip administration.

In milder forms of disease (intoxication and dehydration of the body, metabolic acidosis, oliguria) the drug may be limited to drip administration.

After elimination of hyperkalemia further water-salt therapy is carried out with solutions of “Trisol”, “Acesol” or “Chlorosol”.

Special Instructions

The therapy is carried out under control of hematocrit and blood electrolyte concentration.

Contraindications

Performance with renal impairment

It is contraindicated in renal failure.

Side effects

Oedema, tachycardia. In some cases, chills may occur.
