Pharmacological properties

Myotropic antispasmodic action. It has antispasmodic effect on all smooth muscles of blood vessels and internal organs, dilates blood vessels. Lowers blood pressure by reducing cardiac output and dilating peripheral vessels. Hypotensive activity is very moderate and the effect is short-lived.

In intramuscular administration, the antihypertensive effect occurs within 30-60 minutes, and with intravenous administration within 15-20 minutes. The duration of action is 2-3 hours.

How to take, the dosage

Dibazole injectable solution is administered intravenously and intramuscularly.

In case of hypertensive crisis, administer intravenously or intramuscularly 30-40 mg (3-4 ml of 1% solution).

In exacerbation of arterial hypertension 20-30 mg (2-3 ml of 1% solution) is administered intramuscularly 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 8-14 days. Other antihypertensive agents can also be used at the same time with Dibasol.

In case of smooth muscle spasm the drug is administered in a dose of 10-20 mg (1-2 ml of 1% solution) intramuscularly.

Interaction

Bendazole prevents beta-adrenoblocker-induced increase in total peripheral vascular resistance. Simultaneous use of bendazole and phentolamine increases the hypotensive effect of bendazole.

Bendazole increases the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive and diuretic agents.

Special Instructions

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in diseases accompanied by increased muscle tone or seizure syndrome.

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Long-term prescription as a hypotensive agent in elderly patients (decreased cardiac output).

Side effects

High doses cause fever, increased sweating, dizziness, nausea, and mild headache. These side effects quickly go away when the dose is reduced or the drug is stopped.

Sometimes there are allergic reactions.

Pregnancy use
