Dexpanthenol, ointment 5% 25 g

Dexpanthenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid.
Pantothenic acid, a water-soluble B vitamin, is a component of coenzyme A.
Stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cell metabolism, increases the strength of collagen fibers.
Increased need of pantothenic acid is observed when the skin or tissues are damaged, and its deficiency can be compensated by topical application of dexpanthenol.
Optimal molecular weight, hydrophilicity and low polarity allow its penetration into all skin layers. It has a regenerating, mildly anti-inflammatory effect.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied topically, it is quickly absorbed and converted to pantothenic acid and binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta globulin and albumin).
