Pharmacotherapeutic group: Homeopathic remedy
Pharmacological action
Cuprum metallicum, precipitated, is a red metal, almost insoluble in water and alcohol.
Copper has a powerful metabolic action thanks to its incorporation with proteins: ceruloplasmin, oxidases (especially cytochrome oxidase, involved in the mitochondrial respiratory chain), superoxide dismutase, involved in the metabolism of free radicals, oxygen derivatives, which explains the role of copper as an oligoelement regulating the inflammatory response.
