Particle properties

Particle properties Peptidoglycans (PTG) and lipoteichoic acid (LTA), obtained through sterile fermentation of lactobacilli, serve as inducers of defensins, which play an important role in activating the body’s own antibacterial and antiviral immunity, reducing inflammatory responses, and stimulating regeneration and epithelization processes.

Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench stimulates the body’s natural defenses and acts as an immune stimulator. In addition, the antiviral action of Echinacea purpurea and its ability to improve the processes of regeneration and epithelialization was established.

Glycyrrhizic acid (obtained by extraction from plant material (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.). Immunostimulating effect of glycyrrhizic acid is manifested by an increase in the number and activity of T-lymphocytes, a decrease in the concentration of IgG and an increase in the concentration of IgA and IgM. Activated glycyrrhizic acid significantly inhibits the release of kinins and PG synthesis by connective tissue cells in the area of inflammation. The regenerating effect is due to the improvement of skin and mucosa reparation.

The anti-inflammatory activity of glycyrrhizic acid is combined with a stimulating effect on humoral and cellular immune factors. Activated glycyrrhizic acid induces the formation of interferon, which is a component of its antiviral action. Glycyrrhizic acid has an antiviral effect on different types of DNA and RNA viruses in vitro and in vivo (Varicella zoster, herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, cytomegalovirus, different types of human papillomavirus, including oncogenic). Glycyrrhizic acid interrupts viral replication in its early stages. Activated glycyrrhizic acid inactivates these viruses in non-toxic concentrations for normally functioning cells. Virus strains resistant to acyclovir and iodouridine are also highly sensitive to glycyrrhizic acid.

Composition

1 ml of gel for intravaginal injection contains:
active ingredients: dicalium glycyrrhizinate (extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) 4%, a complex of peptidoglycans and lipoteichoic acid (obtained by sterile fermentation of Lactobacillus) 4%, Echinacea purpurea (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) 2%,
excipients: glycerin; deionized water.

How to take, the dosage

Intravaginally, once a day for 5-10 days.

Please use Colpocid before bedtime to allow the gel to stay in the vagina for longer and to maximise its effect.

Special Instructions

During pregnancy, Colpocid should be used under the supervision of your doctor.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance.
