A small amount of cream is applied to the affected skin surface 1-2 times a day, rubbing lightly.
The product should not be used under an occlusive dressing and should not be used without a break for more than 2 weeks.
Special Instructions
Long-term use should be avoided. Prolonged use on large areas of the skin increases the frequency of adverse effects and the risk of edema, arterial hypertension, hyperglycemia, reduced body resistance.
In external use of clobetasol propionate, inhibition of the pituitary-adrenal system is possible. This is expressed as a decrease in pituitary production of ACTH, a decrease in blood cortisol levels and the development of iatrogenic Cushing’s syndrome. The above-mentioned changes go away after discontinuation of treatment. Adrenal function should be monitored regularly by determining cortisol levels in blood and urine after adrenal stimulation by ACTH.
If an infection develops in the area of application, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be prescribed. If symptoms of infection persist, Cloveit should be discontinued until the infection is cured.
Application of the drug on the skin in the eyelid area in patients with closed- or open-angle glaucoma, with cataracts should be avoided due to the risk of exacerbation of the disease. The drug should be used on the face, axillae and groin only in cases of extreme necessity, given the increased absorption and increased risk of side effects (telangiectasia, perioral dermatitis).
With caution, use with atrophic conditions of subcutaneous fatty tissue, especially in the elderly.
Cloveit may increase the effect of immunosuppressant drugs and weaken the effect of immunostimulant drugs.
