Lincosamide antibiotic for vaginal use.
The mechanism of action of the drug is associated with disruption of intracellular protein synthesis in the microbial cell at the 50S ribosome subunit level.
Clindamycin has a broad spectrum of action; it has bacteriostatic action and in higher concentrations against some microorganisms it is bactericidal.
It is active against microorganisms causing bacterial vaginosis: Gardnerella vaginalis, Mobiluncus spp., Bacteroides spp., Mycoplasma hominis, Peptostreptococcus spp. Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans are not sensitive to clindamycin.

Composition
5 g of cream (1 dose) vaginal 2% contains:
clindamycin phosphate 100 mg.
Auxiliary substances:
sodium benzoate,
castor oil,
1,2-propylene glycol,
polyethylene oxide (as emulsifier).
How to take, the dosage
The recommended single dose is 100 mg of clindamycin (1 full applicator). The drug is administered intravaginally (using the applicator) once a day before bedtime for 3-7 days.
To use the applicator Remove the cap from the tube with the cream and screw the plastic applicator onto the threaded neck of the tube.
Twist the tube from the opposite end and squeeze the cream into the applicator. The applicator is full when its piston reaches the stop. Then you need to unscrew the applicator from the tube and close the cap.
Lying on your back, you should insert the applicator horizontally into the vagina as far as possible, but in a way that does not cause discomfort. Slowly squeeze the plunger all the way in and push the cream into the vagina. Then you should carefully remove the applicator from the vagina and throw it away.

Special Instructions
In prolonged use of Clindacin overgrowth of microorganisms insensitive to it, especially fungi of the genus Candida, is possible.
With the possibility of minimal systemic absorption of the drug (approximately 4%), it is necessary to keep in mind the possibility of developing diarrhea during use of Clindacin. If this occurs, the drug should be discontinued.
The use of Clindacin concomitantly with other intravaginal agents is not recommended.
Pediatric use Efficacy and safety of use of Clindacin in children has not been established.
