Beta-alanine is an amino acid. It counteracts the acute release of histamine but has no antihistamine activity due to the lack of blockade of H₁ receptors.

Beta-alanine has a direct effect on cutaneous peripheral vasodilation, which causes vegetative “flushes”, sensation of heat, heat, headache. At the physiological level, vasomotor “flushes” are caused by the activity of thermoregulatory centers in the hypothalamus, leading to peripheral cutaneous vasodilation.

This is a consequence of the reactions that occur when the balance of cerebral neurotransmitters is disturbed following cessation of hormone secretion by the ovaries. The drug promotes saturation of peripheral neurotransmitter receptors which are involved in this process.

“Hot flashes” during menopause.

There is no data on the negative effect of the drug on the ability to drive a car or other vehicles.

Excipients:

magnesium stearate – 8.0 mg,

glycerol palmityl stearate – 31.2 mg,

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Hypersensitivity or intolerance to gluten (due to the presence of wheat starch in the drug).

Side Effects

Very rare: allergic skin reactions (itching, rash).

Very rare: transient paresthesia, usually in the extremities.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions of the drug with other drugs have been identified.

Overdose

Cases of drug overdose have not been reported.
