Composition
1 coated tablet contains ciprofloxacin hydrochloride monohydrate in a dose,
How to take, the dosage
The dose of Ciprolet depends on the severity of the disease, type of infection, body condition, age, body weight and renal function.
In uncomplicated renal and urinary tract diseases, 250 mg 2 times a day, and in severe cases – 500 mg 2 times a day.
In moderate lower respiratory tract diseases, 250 mg 2 times a day, and in more severe cases, 500 mg 2 times a day.
A single administration of Ciprolet® in a dose of 250-500 mg is recommended for treatment of gonorrhea.
In gynecological diseases, enteritis and colitis with severe course and high fever, prostatitis,
Osteomyelitis, 500 mg 2 times a day is indicated (for treatment of common diarrhea a dose of 250 mg 2 times a day can be used).
The tablets should be taken on an empty stomach with plenty of fluid.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease, but treatment should always continue for at least 2 more days after symptoms disappear.
The duration of treatment is usually 7-10 days.
Interaction
In concomitant use of Ciprolet with didanosine absorption of ciprofloxacin is reduced due to the formation of complexes of ciprofloxacin with aluminum and magnesium salts contained in didanosine.
Concomitant administration of Ciprolet and theophylline may lead to increased plasma concentrations of theophylline due to competitive inhibition at cytochrome P450 binding sites, which leads to increased T1/2 of theophylline and increased risk of theophylline-associated toxic effects.
The simultaneous administration of antacids as well as agents containing aluminum, zinc, iron, or magnesium ions may decrease absorption of ciprofloxacin; therefore, the interval between administration of these agents should be at least 4 hours.
The simultaneous use of Ciprolet and anticoagulants prolongs bleeding time.
In concomitant use of Ciprolet and cyclosporine the nephrotoxic effect of the latter is increased.
