Chondroxid, ointment 5% 30 g

Chondroksid normalizes metabolism in the hyaline tissue, stimulates regeneration (restoration) processes in the articular cartilage, has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, slows the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis.

Hondroxide contains the natural component chondroitin sulfate (a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide) derived from cattle tissues.

Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, accelerates the process of reparation, inhibits the process of degeneration (destruction) of cartilage tissue; prevents collapse of connective tissue;

Inhibits enzymes that cause cartilage tissue damage, stimulates the synthesis of glucosaminoglycans, promotes regeneration (restoration) of the joint capsule and cartilage surfaces of joints, increases production of intra-articular fluid.

This leads to decreased pain and increased mobility of the affected joints.

Dimethylsulfoxide contained in the ointment promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through cell membranes into the deep tissues and has some anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fibrinolytic effect.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of osteochondrosis, osteoarthrosis of peripheral joints and spine.

Pharmacological effect
