Chondroitin-ACOS has chondroprotective, stimulating the regeneration of cartilage tissue, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect.
Pharmacodynamics
Chondroitin-ACOS contains chondroitin sulfate – a stimulator of cartilage regeneration in the joints (chondroprotector) derived from the cartilage of the bovine trachea and dimethyl sulfoxide.
Chondroitin sulfate is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide that inhibits the process of destruction of cartilage tissue and accelerates its repair. Inhibits enzymes that cause cartilage tissue damage and prevents its degradation; stimulates biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans by chondrocytes; promotes restoration of articular bag and cartilage surfaces of joints, increases production of intraarticular fluid.
It improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism and reduces calcium loss in cartilage tissue, slows bone tissue resorption, normalizes metabolism in hyaline tissue, accelerates regeneration (restoration) and inhibits cartilage degeneration (destruction) processes. Structurally similar to heparin, it prevents the formation of fibrin clots in the synovial and subchondral microcirculatory system. As a result, it reduces pain and increases the mobility of the affected joints.
Dimethylsulfoxide which is included in the ointment has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fibrinolytic effects, promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through cell membranes deep into tissues.
The Chondroitin-ACOS ointment has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity, normalizes metabolism and stimulates the restoration processes in joint tissues, results in reduction or disappearance of pain in the joints, improves joint mobility and slows down the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis.
