Choline alphocerate as a carrier of choline and precursor of phosphatidylcholine has the potential ability to prevent and correct biochemical damage, which are of particular importance among the pathogenetic factors of psychoorganic involutional syndrome, that is, can influence the reduction of cholinergic transmission and damaged phospholipid composition of nerve cell membranes.

Pharmacokinetics

How to take, the dosage

The drug is administered intramuscularly or intravenously (drip, slowly) in a dose of 1000 mg
(1 ampoule) per day, for 10 days.

If necessary and if well tolerated, the drug dose and duration of treatment may be increased by the attending physician depending on the clinical picture, the course of the disease, age and tolerability of the drug.

In case of adverse reactions, the dose of the drug may be reduced.
