Chlorhexidine, 0.05% solution 100 ml

It is used for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, etc.).

Special instructions

The bactericidal effect increases with increasing temperature. At temperatures above 100 ºС, the drug partially decomposes. Contact of hypochlorite bleaches on fabrics that have previously been in contact with chlorhexidine-containing products may cause brown stains.

Composition

100 ml bottle contains:
active ingredient:
chlorhexidine bigluconate (in the form of Dezine – chlorhexidine bigluconate concentrate 200 mg/ml) – 50 mg;
excipient:
purified water – up to 100 ml.

Pregnancy

Use during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, dermatitis, viral skin diseases, age up to 12 years.

Side Effects

Possible allergic reactions (skin rash), dryness and itching of the skin, dermatitis, photosensitivity, stickiness of the skin of the hands (within 3-5 minutes).

Interaction

Incompatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose). Concomitant use with iodine is not recommended.

Overdose

Cases of overdose from external use are unknown.
