Zernilton is a remedy for the treatment of prostate diseases of plant origin.

Cernilton has anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effects, helps regulate metabolic processes.

One of pharmacological properties of the preparation is dose-dependent inhibition of COX and 5-lipoxygenase which leads to inhibition of synthesis of mediators of inflammation of arachidonic acid cycle: prostaglandins and leukotrienes and as a consequence to reduction of inflammation and edema of prostatic tissue. The preparation promotes elimination of pain syndrome.

Cernilton has a muscle relaxant effect which leads to relaxation of smooth muscle elements of the posterior urethral wall and improves urination.

The drug reduces the volume of the prostate gland due to inhibition of 5-alpha-reductase, selectively blocks alpha1 – adrenoreceptors of smooth muscle elements of the urethra and has anti-androgenic effect. Helps to improve erectile function.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy:

acute and chronic prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, benign prostatic hyperplasia in combination with prostatitis.

Graminex TM GFX (fat-soluble fraction of microbiologically fermented plant pollen extract) – 3 mg;

Auxiliary substances:

microcrystalline cellulose,

colloidal silicon dioxide,

magnesium stearate.

How to take, the dosage

Zernilton is taken orally 30 minutes before a meal with a small amount of water.

Acute prostatitis: 4 tablets 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician and is usually 3 months.

Cronic prostatitis: 1 tablet 3-4 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is determined individually by the attending physician and is usually 3 to 6 months.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia: 2 tablets 3 times a day. The duration of the treatment course is determined individually by the doctor and is usually from 6 to 12 weeks, but may be extended up to 6 months.

Special Instructions

The use of Cernilton in chronic bacterial prostatitis is possible only in combination with antibacterial agents, by prescription and under medical supervision.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible; in rare cases, nausea may occur.
