Cerebrolysate is a brain tissue nootropic drug containing active biologically active peptides and amino acids, which, spreading through the blood-brain barrier, go directly to the nerve cells.

The drug increases reserve compensatory capacity of brain hemodynamics, improves bioelectrical brain activity and regulatory mechanisms.

Cerebrolyzate increases resistance of brain tissue to hypoglycemia, hypoxia and intoxication as well as activates protein synthesis in neurons and improves metabolic processes in brain cells.

The action of cerebrolyzate is aimed at reducing neurological deficits.

Contains 85% amino acids and 15% peptides.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used as prescribed by the doctor.

Cerebrolysate is administered intramuscularly in 1-5 ml daily or every other day, the course of treatment is 20-30 injections.

The course of treatment with Cerebrolyzate may be repeated after a 3-6 month break.

Interaction

Simultaneous use with antidepressants may increase their effects.

Special Instructions

Particular caution should be exercised when using in patients with acute renal failure. The drug is prescribed with caution in allergic diathesis, large convulsive seizures.

Side effects

Injections of the drug are painful, in some cases, tissue irritation at the injection site is possible. In hypertensive disease of stages II-III during treatment with Cerebrolyzate, an increase in blood pressure may occur.

Pregnancy use

Special safety studies of Cerebrolysate administration during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted. There are indications of undesirability of using the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy.
