Carniland, drops 25 ml

Carniland is an antianginal agent.

It has sedative and antispasmodic (vasodilator) actions, improves blood supply and myocardial metabolism.

Indications

Capitation of attacks of angina pectoris, cardialgia.

Composition

1 ml of sublingual drops contains:

acting substances:

nitroglycerin solution 1% – 0.0217 ml,

menthol solution in mentyl isovalerate (Validol) – 0.0435 ml,

How to take, the dosage

Sublingually. Take 10-15 drops of Carniland 3-4 times a day with some liquid or put on a piece of sugar and keep in the mouth (under the tongue) without swallowing until completely absorbed.

According to individual sensitivity and tolerance, a single dose may be 5 to 25 drops.

Interaction

Simultaneous use with vasodilators, hypotensive agents, ACE inhibitors, beta-adrenoblockers, “slow” calcium channel blockers, procainamide, tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO), phosphodiesterase inhibitors, as well as ethanol, increases the hypotensive effect.

Special Instructions

Carniland may cause a significant decrease in atrial pressure and dizziness when suddenly moving upright from lying or sitting; when drinking alcohol, exercising, and in hot weather.

Carniland, like all organic nitrates, is very addictive with frequent use, requiring higher doses.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding can only be taken if there is a strong indication for use.

Contraindications

With caution: Cranial hypertension, cardiac tamponade, isolated mitral stenosis, constrictive pericarditis (conditions accompanied by decreased left ventricular filling pressure), uncontrolled hypovolemia, in patients with heart failure with normal or low pulmonary artery pressure, hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, recent head trauma, toxic pulmonary edema, idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, closed-angle glaucoma with high intraocular pressure; severe anemia, hyperthyroidism, impaired cerebral circulation, shock, arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg. Hg), pregnancy, breastfeeding period.

Side effects

Cardiovascular system: dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, “nitrate” headache, tachycardia, skin hyperemia, fever; gastrointestinal tract: dry mouth, nausea.

In case of side effects, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug to a single dose.

Overdose

Symptoms: marked decrease in blood pressure with orthostatic dysregulation, reflex tachycardia, headache; asthenia may develop; dizziness, increased somnolence, fever, nausea, vomiting.

If an overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately.

Before the doctor arrives, the victim should be laid down with the legs elevated.
