Caripain plus, vial, 1 g

Caripain Plus is a new highly effective enzymatic remedy for the treatment of osteochondrosis and intervertebral hernias, derived from papaya latex, crab pancreas and pineapple extract.

The drug is also used to treat joint contractures (post-traumatic and post-stroke), keloid scars of different origin, adhesions, arthroso-arthritis of large joints, brachial scapular periarthritis, cerebral (including optochiasmatic) and spinal arachnoiditis, some forms of facial neuritis, tunnel syndrome.

Therapeutically it is more effective for treatment of the spine, joints and keloid scars than existing enzyme preparations (Caripazim, Lecozyme, Lidase, etc.).

Indications

Caripain is a highly effective drug used for treatment of spine osteochondrosis, including various forms of intervertebral disc hernia, Schmorl’s hernia, treatment of joint contractures (post-traumatic and post-stroke), keloid scars of different origin, discogenic radiculitis, tunnel syndrome.

How to take, the dosage

Caripain dry balm can be used in any medical institution with an electrophoresis device (e.g. “Potok-1”). The technique is specially adapted for convenient application in a polyclinic, MSC, medical center, hospital.

The treatment is course-based – 1 course of 20 to 30 procedures. It is allowed to have 1 – 2 day breaks between the procedures. If necessary, repeated courses in 30-60 days.

For treatment of spine osteochondrosis, cervical osteochondrosis, intervertebral disc protrusion one course of treatment with Caripain 20-30 procedures is recommended.

The treatment of intervertebral hernia – from 1 to 3 courses of 20-30 procedures each (the number of courses is determined by the attending physician). The interval between courses is from 1 to 2 months. For hernias larger than 5 mm it is recommended to undergo 3 courses.

The Caripain dry balm is administered by electrophoresis from the positive pole. Immediately before the procedure 1 vial of the drug is diluted with 10 ml of physiological solution (or water for injections). Two to three drops of Dimexide are added to the solution.

The temperature of the pads is strictly 37-39 ° C (controlled with a water thermometer), pH 5-7. The solution is applied to white filter paper placed on the electrode pads. The size of the electrode pad is 10×15 cm. Current strength up to 10-15 mA (at the beginning of each session increasing gradually, starting with 5 mA). Exposure time from 10 to 20 minutes also increases gradually.

If these parameters are not followed, the effect of the treatment will be drastically reduced!

Special Instructions

There may be a temporary aggravation of the underlying disease between the 5th and 8th treatments, which disappears after 3-5 treatments. It is important not to stop the treatment!

Caripain must not be administered intravenously or intramuscularly!

Contraindications

– Hypersensitivity to Caripain components;
– Acute inflammatory processes in tissues;
– Disc hernia sequestration and foramenal location of the sequestration.
