Candide-B6, vaginal tablets 100 mg 6 pcs

Candid-B6 is an antifungal drug for topical use, imidazole derivative.

The drug disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the cell membrane of fungi, which causes changes in its properties and leads to cell lysis.

The drug is active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum), yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida, Torulopsis glabrata, Rhodotorula), molds as well as Malassezia furfur, Aspergillus; some strains of gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium minutissimum), Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp., Gardnerella vaginalis), and Trichomonas vaginalis.

Indications

– genital infections caused by yeast fungi of the genus Candida and/or Trichomonas vaginalis (vulvovaginal candidiasis, trichomoniasis);

– genital superinfections caused by bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole (mixed vaginal infections, bacterial vaginitis).

Pharmacological effect

Special instructions

To prevent urogenital reinfection, simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners is necessary.

For trichomoniasis, for more successful treatment, other drugs that have a systemic effect, such as metronidazole, should be prescribed together with the drug Candid-B6.

Vaginal tablets are not recommended for use during menstruation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug Candid-B6.

Side Effects

Rarely – a slight burning sensation immediately after administration of the tablet, which goes away with continued treatment.

Interaction

When administered vaginally, it reduces the activity of amphotericin B and other polyene antibiotics.

When used simultaneously with nystatin, the activity of Candida-B6 may decrease.

Storage conditions

In a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

Shelf life

4 years.
