Indications
In the treatment of infectious and inflammatory respiratory diseases accompanied by cough with sputum that is difficult to detach, including
– bronchitis,
– tracheitis,
– tracheobronchitis,
– whooping cough.

Thyme common herb extract liquid with a thymol content of 0.028% – 9.00 g.
How to take, the dosage
Ingestion, regardless of meals.
Unless a doctor has prescribed a different dosage, the drug is taken:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children 5 to 12 years of age: 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children 1 to 5 years old: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 2-3 times a day.
The syrup can be taken without dilution or diluted with water.
The duration of use of the drug is determined by the therapeutic necessity and the duration of the disease.
Interaction
The drug Bronchoplant® should not be used simultaneously with preparations containing codeine and other anti-cough medicines, because this makes it difficult to expectorate diluted sputum.
Special Instructions
Due to the ethanol content, children under 12 years of age should take the drug under the recommendation and supervision of a doctor. The content of ethanol in the drug is not more than 4%.
One teaspoon of the product (5 ml) contains not more than 0.16 g of absolute ethyl alcohol (this means anhydrous ethyl alcohol).
– For children from 1 to 5 years old the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.16 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in the maximum daily dose – not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
– for children from 5 to 12 years old the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.32 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, the maximum daily dose contains not more than 1.28 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
– for adults and children over 12 years old the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, the maximum daily dose contains not more than 1.92 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.
The drug contains 100 g of sorbitol (in terms of anhydrous sorbitol). One teaspoon of the syrup (5 ml) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0,15 bread units.
If symptoms persist or the condition worsens after using the drug for 3-5 days, the doctor should be told.
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
– decompensation of heart rhythm;
– gastritis;
– gastric and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage;
– hereditary fructose intolerance;
– sucrose/isomaltase deficiency;
– glucose-galactose malabsorption;
– childhood age under 1 year.
Side effects
Allergic reactions may occur.
Because of the sorbitol content, gastric mucosal irritation and diarrhea may occur when taking the drug.
If you experience any side effects not described in these instructions, stop taking the drug and tell your physician.
Overdose
When using the drug in doses higher than recommended, irritation of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, diarrhea may occur.
