Bonderm, 2% ointment 15 g

Mupirocin is a bacteriostatic broad-spectrum antibiotic for topical use.

Effects pathogens of skin infections: staphylococcus aureus (including strains resistant to methicillin), staphylococcus epidermidis, staphylococcus saprophyticus and streptococcus pyogenes (including coagulase-negative).

It does not cross-resist with chloramphenicol, erythromycin, fusidic acid, gentamicin, lincomycin, methicillin, neomycin, streptomycin, tetracycline.

Indications

Primary and secondary skin infections caused by mupirocin-sensitive microorganisms, including:

primary skin infections – pyoderma (streptoderma, staphyloderma): impetigo, sycosis, folliculitis, furunculosis (including furunculosis (including furuncles of the external auditory canal and auricle), ecthymes;

Secondary infections – infected eczema, infected atopic, contact and allergic dermatitis, infected injuries (abrasions, cuts, scratches, insect bites), trophic ulcers, minor (not requiring hospitalization) wounds and burns;

Prevention of bacterial lesions and their complications arising from minor wounds, cuts, bedsores.

Active ingredient

Composition

1 g:

– mupirocin 20 mg

excipients:

Macrogol 400 – 587 mg;

Macrogol 3350 – 393 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Externally.

A small amount of Bonderm® ointment is applied to the affected skin surface 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is up to 10 days, depending on the severity of the lesion. If there is no clinical effect after 5 days of treatment, it is recommended to reconsider the diagnosis and further treatment tactics, taking into account the dynamics of clinical parameters.

The Bonderm® ointment can be used with an aseptic dressing or applied under an occlusive dressing.
Children and elderly patients. No restrictions required.
Impaired liver function. No correction required.

Kidney function impairment. See Caution.

Interaction

Combined use with other topical preparations should be avoided because it may reduce the antibacterial activity or stability of mupirocin in the ointment.

Special Instructions

Macrogol, a component of Bonderm ointment for external use, is absorbed from open wounds and damaged skin and is excreted by the kidneys, so patients with severe chronic renal failure should use the drug with caution on large areas of skin.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If the ointment comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, it is recommended to rinse them thoroughly with water until all residual ointment has been removed.

In rare cases of allergic reactions or significant skin irritation during use of Bonderm Ointment, the treatment should be discontinued, the affected area should be flushed with water to remove ointment residue, and alternative antibiotic therapy should be prescribed.

Impact on the ability to drive a car or perform work requiring increased speed of physical and mental reactions. No adverse effect on the ability to drive and operate vehicles and mechanisms has been observed.

Contraindications

– Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug Bonderm;

– children under 3 years of age.

With caution: renal failure (see “Special indications”).

Side effects

Bonderm® ointment is well tolerated.

There are very rarely observed burning, itching and dryness at the place of application of the drug. Skin allergic reactions (swelling at the place of application, rash) to mupirocin or the base of the ointment were rarely observed.

When using the ointment in single cases generalized allergic reactions have been reported.

Overdose

There have been no recorded cases of overdose to date.
