Liquid dextrose [dextrose, oligo- and polysaccharides], lactose monohydrate, corn starch, talcum, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate

Composition of the hard gelatin capsule (body and cap):

Iron oxide black dye (E172), iron oxide red dye (E172), titanium dioxide (E171), azorubin dye (E122), gelatin

*Ginkgo biloba leaf extract dry from Ginkgo biloba leaves (Ginkgo biloba L., family Ginkgoaceae, folium).

Ratio of the amount of medicinal plant raw materials to the amount of the initial extract: 35 – 67:1. The extractant is acetone/water.

How to take, the dosage

Orally. Capsules should be swallowed whole with a small amount of water, regardless of the time of meals.

Simptomatic treatment of cognitive disorders in adults

Take 1 capsule 2-3 times daily.

Comprehensive therapy of vertigo of vestibular origin and symptomatic treatment of tinnitus (tinnitus or tinnitus)

Adults take 1 capsule 2 times a day (morning and evening).

The first signs of improvement usually appear after 1 month.

Course of treatment at least 3 months (especially for elderly patients). The repeated course is possible after consultation with the doctor.

If the drug was missed or an insufficient amount was taken, its subsequent administration should be carried out as indicated in these instructions, without any changes.

Interaction

It is not recommended to use Bilobil® forte in patients who regularly take acetylsalicylic acid, anticoagulants (direct and indirect action), as well as thiazide diuretics, tricyclic antidepressants, anticonvulsants, gentamicin. There may be single cases of bleeding in patients simultaneously taking medications that reduce blood clotting; the causal relation of these bleedings with taking Ginkgo biloba products has not been confirmed.

When used with hypotensive agents, potentiation of the antihypertensive effect is possible.

Special Instructions

Use in patients with epilepsy, with arterial hypotension.

Persons under 18 years of age are contraindicated (efficacy and safety not studied)

Perhaps with caution in patients with epilepsy, with arterial hypotension.

Do not exceed the recommended doses of Bilobil® forte.

If a hypersensitivity reaction develops, the use of the drug should be discontinued. Before surgery, the physician should be informed about the use of Bilobil® forte.

If dizziness and tinnitus occur frequently, a physician should be consulted. In case of a sudden worsening or loss of hearing, seek medical attention immediately. Patients with bleeding disorder (hemorrhagic diathesis) and patients receiving anticoagulant therapy should consult a physician before starting therapy with Bilobil® forte.

Bilobil® forte should not be used with ethanol.

Epileptic seizures may occur while using Ginkgo biloba in patients with epilepsy.

Special information about the excipients

1 capsule of Bilobil® forte contains 196 mg of digestible carbohydrates (glucose, lactose, starch), which corresponds to 0.0163 bread units (BE), the maximum daily dose (3 capsules) corresponds to 0.049 BE.

Bilobil® Forte contains the dye azorubin (E122) which can cause allergic reactions.

When taking Bilobil® Forte one must be careful when performing potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and rapid psychomotor reaction (including driving vehicles, operating moving mechanisms), and in case of adverse reactions including dizziness one should refrain from driving vehicles.

Synopsis

Solid gelatin capsules № 2, the body and the cap are pink. The contents of the capsules – powder from light brown to dark brown in color with particles of darker color. The presence of small lumps is allowed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, decreased blood clotting, erosive gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, acute cerebral circulatory disorders, acute myocardial infarction, pregnancy, lactation, children under 18 years old (efficacy and safety have not been studied), lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, because Bilobil® forte contains lactose.

From the digestive system:

very rarely: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

From the nervous system:

very rarely: headache, dizziness, insomnia.

Allergic reactions:

very rarely: hyperemia, edema, skin itching.

With the hemostasis system:

very rare: decreased blood clotting. There are reports on the occurrence of bleeding when prolonged use of Ginkgo biloba products in patients who simultaneously took agents that reduce blood clotting.

Senses:

frequency unknown: hearing disorders.

If any adverse events occur, the drug should be discontinued and the patient should consult a physician.

Overdose

To date, no cases of overdose of Bilobil® forte have been reported. In case of overdose the treatment is symptomatic.

Pregnancy use

Bilobil® forte is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breastfeeding due to insufficient clinical data.
