Belosalik lotion, spray 100 ml

Pharmgroup: glucocorticosteroid+keratolytic agent.

Pharmaceutical effect: Belosalik is a drug with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiproliferative, antimicrobial and keratolytic action for external use.

Betamethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antiproliferative and antipruritic effects. When applied to the skin surface, betamethasone has a fast and strong action in the focus of inflammation, reducing the severity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).

Salicylic acid has a keratolytic effect which cleanses the lesion of scales, facilitates penetration of betamethasone into the skin and maintains the acidic skin environment, preventing the development of bacterial and fungal infection.

Subacute and chronic dermatoses sensitive to GCS therapy and accompanied by hyperkeratosis and peeling:

1 g of the solution contains:

Active ingredients:

betamethasone dipropionate – 640 µg, which corresponds to the content of betamethasone – 500 µg;

salicylic acid – 20 mg.

Excipients:

dinatrium edetate – 0.3 mg,

hypromellose 4000 cPs – 5 mg,

Isopropanol – 392 mg,

water – 577.06 mg.

How to take, the dosage

The product is for external use.

A few drops of the topical solution are spread evenly over the surface of the skin, rubbing gently. The frequency of use is 2 times a day; in mild cases, a single use is sufficient.

The duration of the continuous course of treatment is usually limited to 3-4 weeks. If a longer course of therapy is necessary, it is recommended that the drug be used less frequently, for example, every other day.

The drug can be prescribed with caution in children from 6 months of age and for the shortest time possible.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions with other drugs have been noted.

The simultaneous use of cosmetic and dermatological topical products containing ethanol or medical soaps with a strong drying effect may cause skin irritation.

Special Instructions

For external use.

The use of the drug under an occlusive dressing is not recommended except when necessary. Eye and mucous membrane contact should be avoided and use in the anogenital area should be avoided. If fungal or bacterial microflora develops on the skin, additional use of an antibacterial or antifungal agent is necessary.

Belosalik® lotion in the form of a solution for external use is particularly suitable for use on the scalp. The solution is easy to apply to the surface of the skin, does not stick to or dry out the hair, leaves no visible residue and has a cooling effect on the skin.

Influence on driving and operating ability

There are no reports of adverse effects of Belosalik® Lotion on driving and operating ability.

Contraindications

Vulgar acne. Children under 6 months of age.

Hypersensitivity to betamethasone, salicylic acid or any of the excipients of the drug. Tuberculosis of the skin. Cutaneous manifestations of syphilis. Varicella pox. Viral skin infections. Cutaneous postvaccination reactions. Open wounds. Trophic ulcers. Rosacea.

Side effects

If hypersensitivity or adverse reactions develop, the drug should be stopped and a doctor consulted.

The side effects are usually reversible and mild. Skin disorders: hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning, hyperemia), acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, secondary skin infections are possible.

Long-term continuous uncontrolled use and application to large areas of skin: telangiectasia, systemic side effects of GCS or salicylates.

Overdose

Symptoms: manifestation of systemic side effects.

Treatment: Withdrawal of the drug and symptomatic therapy is recommended.

Pregnancy use

The use of Belosalik® Lotion in pregnant women is allowed when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be of short duration and limited to small areas of the skin.

When breastfeeding, Belosalik® Lotion may be used for strict indications, but the drug should not be applied to the breast skin before breastfeeding.
