The syringe should be disinfected before use by first separating the balloon and tip. The balloon is disinfected by boiling in distilled water for 10 minutes, the tip by immersion in 3% hydrogen peroxide solution.

In medical institutions the balloon and tip are disinfected by dipping into 3% hydrogen peroxide solution or 3% chloramine solution according to MU 287-113. At the end of the disinfection exposure the syringe is rinsed with running potable water.

Before use the syringe is assembled by inserting the tip into the hole of the balloon; the tip is lubricated with Vaseline, lanolin or other neutral grease.

The syringe should be rinsed with hot water and dried after use.

Pharmacological effect

Storage conditions

The syringe should be stored indoors at a temperature from +5°C to +40°C and a relative air humidity of no more than 80% at 25°C.
