Alpha-adrenergic stimulator, narrows the blood vessels of the nasal cavity mucosa, eliminating swelling and hyperemia of the mucosa.

Easily eases nasal breathing in rhinitis.

The effect occurs within a few minutes and lasts for several hours.

Indications

Acute allergic rhinitis, acute respiratory infections with rhinitis symptoms, sinusitis, pollinosis; otitis media (to reduce nasopharyngeal mucosa edema).

Preparing the patient for diagnostic manipulations in the nasal passages.

How to take, the dosage

Intranasally.

Adults and children over 6 years: 3 injections (2-3 drops) into each nasal passage 2-3 times a day.

Do not use more than 3 times a day.

Perform for 7-14 days.

Special Instructions

Frequent and prolonged use in chronic nasopharyngeal diseases is not recommended. In “cold” diseases in cases where crusts form in the nose, it is preferable to prescribe in the form of a gel.

Do not use simultaneously with MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, marked atherosclerosis, glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, brain surgery (history), childhood (under 6 years), thyrotoxicosis, pregnancy; do not use during therapy with monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic anti depressants.

Side effects

When used, it may cause burning in the nose and throat, local irritation, paresthesias, sneezing, hypersecretion, dry nasal mucosa.

Possible allergic reactions. Rarely – nasal mucous membrane edema, palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmias, increased BP, headache, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, visual impairment; depression (with prolonged use in high doses).

If symptoms occur, stop using the drug and see a physician.
