Askoril is a combined drug with bronchodilator and expectorant action.
Salbutamol is a selective β2-adrenoreceptor agonist, has a bronchodilator effect, stops bronchospasm.
Bromhexine has mucolytic action. It reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretion by depolarization of acidic polysaccharides and stimulation of secretory cells of bronchial mucous.
Guifenesin reduces the surface tension and adhesive properties of sputum and promotes expectoration.
Indications
Bronchial asthma;
acute and chronic bronchitis;
bronchiectasis;
atelectasis;
emphysema;
pneumonia;
whooping cough;
pulmonary tuberculosis;
other bronchospastic conditions.
Pharmacological effect
Ascoril is a combined drug with bronchodilator and expectorant effects.
Salbutamol is a selective β2-adrenergic receptor agonist, has a bronchodilator effect, relieves bronchospasm.
Bromhexine has a mucolytic effect. Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions due to depolarization of acidic polysaccharides and stimulation of secretory cells of the bronchial mucosa.
Guaifenesin reduces the surface tension and adhesive properties of sputum and promotes expectoration.
Special instructions
The drug is prescribed with caution to patients with hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, severe diseases of the cardiovascular system, arterial hypertension, gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Active ingredient

Composition
1 tablet contains:
salbutamol – 2 mg,
bromhexine – 8 mg,
guaifenesin – 100 mg.
Contraindications
Tachycardia; heart rhythm disturbances; hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Side Effects
Rarely: hand tremors, tachycardia, muscle cramps.
When used in high doses – tachycardia, headache, peripheral vasodilation.
Interaction
Other beta2-adrenergic agonists and theophylline enhance the effect of salbutamol and increase the likelihood of side effects.
Ascoril is not prescribed simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussives, as this makes it difficult to clear liquefied sputum.
Bromhexine, which is part of the drug Ascoril, promotes the penetration of antibiotics (erythromycin, cephalexin, oxytetracycline) into the lung tissue.
It is not recommended to use Ascoril simultaneously with non-selective beta-adrenergic blockers, such as propranolol.
The drug Ascoril salbutamol, which is part of the drug, is not recommended for patients receiving MAO inhibitors.
Diuretics and corticosteroids enhance the hypokalemic effect of salbutamol.
It is not recommended to take alkaline drinks at the same time as Ascoril.
Overdose
Symptoms: increased side effects.
Treatment: symptomatic therapy.
