In St. John’s wort many useful substances, thanks to them, and the plant has medicinal properties. It is used as an antibacterial, antiseptic, analgesic, wound healing, anti-rheumatic, diuretic, choleretic, astringent, anthelmintic, as well as a regenerating agent.
Directions for use
Cosmetology: St. John’s wort has proven itself in cosmetology. It has anti-inflammatory, toning, anti-aging, anti-seborrheic effects. It is used for: acne, increased oiliness of the skin, withering and wrinkles, baldness, pustular skin diseases, cracked heels.
Wort with acne: With abundant acne on the skin of the face is recommended daily evening washing with St. John’s wort infusion. To do this, take 1 tablespoon of crushed dried herbs, pour 1 cup boiling water and insist 20 minutes. Wash with the infusion or every night before going to bed, do not blot with a towel, do not rinse, allow to dry on the skin.
Elevated skin greasiness: If the skin quickly appears greasy shine, a decoction of St. John’s wort will help. Pour 2 tablespoons of dried herbs over one cup of boiling water, place over a low heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Then cool, strain, and wipe your face with a cotton pad, let it dry, and rinse with cool water. You can make a mask of the herb St. John’s wort boiled. For this, 2 tablespoons of raw materials are poured over 4 spoons of boiling water, stirred and allowed to stand. The resulting mush put a clean washed face, avoiding the eye area. Keep 10-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Do not make more than two times a week.
Wrinkles and wrinkles: Use an ice cold pack or lotion based on St. John’s Wort to help tone the skin. For ice wipes, prepare a decoction of St. John’s Wort (see recipe, above), cool, strain and freeze in special ice molds. Every morning after washing, wipe your face and decollete area with a piece of ice. To make the lotion is necessary to mix 1 cup infusion of St. John’s wort (see recipe above) and mix with 1 tablespoon of cologne or vodka. Pruritic skin conditions: When pustular diseases affected areas of the skin are wiped with the decoction of St. John’s wort. To prevent the infection from spreading to healthy areas, the washing should be done with a cotton pad. Heel cracks: To alleviate the condition, foot baths are indicated.
