Addamel N, concentrate 10 ml 20 pcs

Addamel N is an almost colorless solution of trace elements intended for adding to infusion solutions.

The contents of one ampoule provides the daily requirement of micronutrients.

Indications

Addamel N is used in partial and total parenteral nutrition as a supplement that provides the daily requirement of micronutrients in adults.

Addamel N can be used during pregnancy.

Active ingredient

Composition

Active substances:

Chromium chloride hexahydrate 5.33 µg,

Copper chloride dihydrate 0.34 mg,

Sodium selenite 6.9 µg,

Zinc chloride 1.36 mg,

Excipients:

xylitol, 300 mg;

Hydrochloric acid (to correct pH), q.s.;

water for injection – up to 1 ml

How to take, the dosage

The drug must be diluted before administration.

In adults, 1 ampoule (10 ml) of Addamel H is sterilely added to 1000 ml of Vamin 14, Vamin 14 without electrolytes, Vamin 18, Vamin Glucose, or to glucose solutions with a concentration of 50-500 mg/ml.

The resulting solution is stirred by gentle rocking, then used for parenteral infusions in accordance with the instructions for use of the above drugs.

The resulting solution should be used within 24 hours.

If the micronutrient requirements are moderately high, up to a maximum of 20 ml of Addamel H can be added.

Interaction

Only preparations with which compatibility is certain may be added to Addamel H.

The following solutions are recommended: Vamin 14, Vamin 14 without electrolytes, Vamin 18, Vamin

Glucose and glucose solutions with a concentration of 50-500 mg/ml.

The mixing of solutions must be carried out under aseptic conditions.

Special Instructions

Addamel N should be used with caution in patients with hepatic and/or renal impairment, since micronutrient excretion may be significantly reduced in this group of patients.

Addamel N should be used with caution in patients with biochemical or clinical manifestations of hepatic dysfunction (especially in cholestasis).

Manganese levels should be monitored if treatment continues for more than 4 weeks. Addamel N can only be used diluted.

Contraindications

Total biliary obstruction.

Side effects

All the adverse reactions characteristic of Vamin 14, Vamin 14 without electrolytes, Vamin 18, Vamin Glucose and glucose solutions can occur with Addamel H infusion.

Pregnancy use

Possible use during pregnancy.

There are no data on the use during lactation.

When using the drug in breastfeeding mothers should refrain from breastfeeding.
