🐾 Levomekol-Vet ointment for animals, tube, 250 g

The Levomekol ointment is an antibacterial ointment for external use.

Levomecol ointment has a complex anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and regenerating effect. The ointment contains levomycetin active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp. Methyluracil stimulates metabolic processes in cells, wound healing, tissue repair, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Methyluracil increases local immunity by increasing the production of leukocytes and interferon. Polyethylene oxide ointment base promotes deep penetration of ointment components deep into tissues without damaging biological membranes. This allows to maintain antibacterial activity in the presence of pus.

Levomekol ointment by its effect on the body is classified as low-hazard substance (Hazard Class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007).

How to take, the dosage

Levomecol ointment is used topically. The ointment is soaked in sterile gauze cloths, then applied to the affected skin surface and secured with a bandage. In purulent cavities Levomekol ointment is administered through a catheter (drainage tube) with a syringe. For such use the ointment is preheated to 35-40 ° C. Dressings are done daily until the affected skin is completely clean. For infectious inflammations of the skin and mucous membranes Levomekol ointment after cleansing of the affected area is applied in a thin even layer 1-2 times a day until recovery, both separately and as a complex treatment.

The symptoms of overdose in animals have not been identified.

Peculiarities of action of Levomekol ointment at the first use and withdrawal have not been found.

Levomecol ointment is allowed to use in pregnant animals, lactating animals and young animals.

Breaking the recommended timing of treatment of animals should be avoided as this can lead to reduced efficacy. If another treatment with Levomecol ointment is missed, the treatment should be resumed in the same dose according to the same scheme.

Special Instructions

Levomecol ointment is not recommended for use simultaneously with other antibacterial drugs for topical use. The use of the ointment does not exclude the use of other medicines.

Levomecol ointment is not intended for use in productive animals.
