Termicon is an antifungal drug, allylamine. It has a wide range of antifungal action.
It is active against dermatophytes: Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton tonsurans, Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton violaceum, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum. In low concentrations has a fungicidal effect on dermatophytes, mold fungi (including Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Scopulariopsis brevicaulis) and some dimorphic fungi. On yeast fungi of the genus Candida (mainly Candida albicans) and their mycelial forms, depending on the species, the drug has fungicidal or fungistatic effect.
Termicon disrupts the early stage of biosynthesis of the main component of the cell membrane of the fungus ergosterol by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase. This leads to ergosterol deficiency and intracellular accumulation of squalene, which causes cell death of the fungus. The action of terbinafine is performed by inhibiting the enzyme squaleneepoxidase located on the cell membrane of the fungus.
When applied topically, absorption is less than 5% and has little systemic effect.

Infections accompanied by diaper rash (under the breasts, between the fingers, between the buttocks, in the groin area), the spots where the cream is applied can be covered with gauze, especially at night.
The average duration of treatment in dermatomycosis of the trunk, shins, feet – once a day for 1 week; in candidiasis of the skin – 1-2 times a day for 1-2 weeks; in lichen planus – 1-2 times a day for 2 weeks.

If treatment is irregular or if it is discontinued prematurely, there is a risk of a recurrence of the infection. If no signs of improvement are noted after 1-2 weeks of treatment, the diagnosis must be verified.
The dosing regimen for elderly patients is the same as for patients in other age groups.
A reduction in the severity of clinical manifestations is usually noted in the first days of treatment. If treatment is intermittent or discontinued prematurely, there is a risk of recurrence of the infection.
