Pharmacological action
. The drug of plant origin increases the body’s resistance to hypoxia, especially brain tissue, inhibits the development of traumatic or toxic cerebral edema, improves the cerebral and peripheral blood circulation, improves blood rheology.
It has a dose-dependent regulatory effect on the vascular system, dilates small arteries and increases venous tone. Prevents formation of free radicals and lipid peroxidation of cell membranes. Normalizes the release, re-uptake and catabolism of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, dopamine, acetylcholine) and their ability to connect with receptors. Improves metabolism in organs and tissues, contributes to the accumulation of macroergens in cells, increased utilization of oxygen and glucose, normalization of mediator processes in the central nervous system.

Indications

• disorders of brain function, including age-related ones, associated with cerebrovascular accidents, accompanied by the following symptoms: memory impairment, decreased ability to concentrate and intellectual abilities, dizziness, tinnitus, headache.
• peripheral circulatory disorders: obliterating diseases of the arteries of the lower extremities with such characteristic symptoms as intermittent claudication, numbness and coldness of the feet, Raynaud’s disease.
• dysfunction of the inner ear, manifested by dizziness, unsteady gait and tinnitus.

Special instructions

If you experience frequent feelings of dizziness and tinnitus, you should consult your doctor. In case of sudden deterioration or loss of hearing, you should immediately consult a doctor.
When using Ginkgo biloba preparations, patients suffering from epilepsy may experience epileptic seizures.
During the period of taking the drug, care should be taken when performing potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).

Composition

Active ingredient:
Ginkgo biloba leaf extract dry* EGb 761®** (35-67:1), extractant: acetone 60%, standardized for the content of ginkgoflavone glycosides 19.6 mg and terpene lactones 4.8 mg (2.24-2.72 mg ginkgolides A, B, C and 2.08-2.56 mg bilobalides) 80.00 mg.

Auxiliary kernel components:
lactose monohydrate 45.50 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide 2.00 mg, microcrystalline cellulose 109.00 mg, corn starch 10.00 mg, croscarmellose sodium 10.00 mg, magnesium stearate 3.50 mg.

Auxiliary shell components:
hypromellose 9.250 mg, macrogol 1500 4.625 mg, antifoam emulsion SE2 0.008 mg ***; titanium dioxide (E 171) 0.892 mg, red iron oxide (E 172) 0.503 mg, talc 0.576 mg, brown iron oxide (E 172) 0.146 mg.

Pregnancy

Due to the lack of sufficient clinical data, the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption; decreased blood clotting, erosive gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage; acute cerebrovascular accidents, acute myocardial infarction; children under 18 years of age, due to insufficient data on the use of the drug in this age group.

With caution
Patients with epilepsy.

Side Effects

Possible allergic reactions (redness, swelling of the skin, itching), gastrointestinal disorders in rare cases (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), headache, hearing impairment, dizziness, decreased blood clotting.
Isolated cases of bleeding have been observed in patients concomitantly taking anticoagulants; the causal relationship of these bleedings with the use of Ginkgo biloba EGb 761® preparations has not been confirmed.
If any adverse events occur, stop taking the drug and consult your doctor.

Interaction

The use of Memoplant is not recommended for patients constantly taking acetylsalicylic acid, anticoagulants (direct and indirect action), as well as drugs that reduce blood clotting.
The simultaneous use of ginkgo biloba preparations with efazirenz is not recommended, since a decrease in its concentration in the blood plasma is possible due to the induction of cytochrome CYP3A4 under the influence of ginkgo biloba.

Overdose

Cases of drug overdose have not been reported to date.
Memoplant is well tolerated.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

5 years.
Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
