The drug inhibits peptide translocase at the translation stage, inhibits protein synthesis, and slows bacterial growth and reproduction.
Indications
Infections of upper respiratory tract and ENT-organ, caused by susceptible pathogens (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, otitis media);
– Skin and soft tissue infections (rye, impetigo, secondary infected dermatoses);
– Scarlet fever;
– Infections of the lower respiratory tract (pneumonia (including atypical pneumonia, bronchitis);
– Infections of the urogenital tract (gonorrhea, nontreated urethritis, cervicitis).Infections of lower respiratory tract (pneumonia (including atypical), bronchitis);
– Urogenital tract infections (gonorrheal and non-gonorrheal urethritis, cervicitis);
– Lyme disease (borreliosis), initial stage treatment (erythema migrans);
– duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori (in combination therapy).
Active ingredient
Azithromycin
Directions for use
Orally, 1 hour before or 2 hours after the meal once a day.
Adults:
In cases of peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori – 1 g Asithromycin-Acrihin/day within 3 days in combined anthelicobacter therapy.
In case of skin and soft tissue infections – 1 g/day on the first day, further on 0.5 g/day from day 2 to 5 (course dose – 3 g).
In acute infections of urogenital organs (uncomplicated urethritis or cervicitis) – 1 g once.
In Lyme disease (borreliosis) during the treatment of stage I (erythema migrans) – 1 g during the first day and 0.5 g daily during the second to fifth days (the course dose – 3 g).
In upper and lower respiratory tract infections – 0.5 g/day in 1 course during 3 days (the course dose – 1.5 g).
Children over 12 years of age are prescribed at the rate of 10 mg/kg once a day for 3 days or 10 mg/kg on the first day and then 5-10 mg/kg/day for 4 days during 3 days (the course dose – 30 mg/kg).
In treatment of erythema migrans in children the dose is 20 mg/kg on the first day and 10 mg/kg from day 2 to day 5.
Special Instructions
In case of missing a dose of the drug, the missed dose of Azithromycin-Acrichine should be taken as soon as possible, and the next ones – at intervals of 24 hours.
Observe a break of 2 hours when using antacids at the same time.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, to antibiotics of macrolide group;
Renal and/or hepatic insufficiency;
Pregnancy, lactation period;
Children under 12 years old.
With caution:
Arrhythmia, children with liver and/or kidney function disorders.
If the drug is prescribed during lactation it is necessary to stop breast-feeding.
Side effects
Allergic reactions to the components of Azithromycin-Acrychin: rash, itching, Quincke’s edema;
nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, flatulence, increased activity of “liver” transaminases; in children – constipation, anorexia, gastritis;
dizziness, headache, sleepiness, anxiety, neurosis, sleep disorders;
vaginal candidiasis, nephritis;
palpitation, chest pain.
