Analgin Ultra is an analgesic-antipyretic.

Methamisole is a derivative of pyrazolone.

It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects, whose mechanism is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Indications

Flu, Muscle pain (myalgia), Fever, Pain after injuries and operations, Radiculitis, Headache, Urticaria, Muscle pain, Arthritis, Menstrual pain, Insect bites, Arthritis, Pain in the joints, Neuritis, Joint pain, Gallstone disease, Menstrual pain, Migraine, Colic, Toothache, Neuralgia, Colds, Pain, Neuralgia (pain along the nerves).ul>

Sodium metamizole

Composition

1 tablet contains metamizole sodium 500 mg;

How to take, the dosage

In adults 0.25-0.5 g 2 to 3 times daily after meals.

The maximum single dose is 1 g, daily dose is 3 g.

In children 5-10 mg/kg of weight 3 to 4 times daily.

Particular doses for oral administration for children aged:

• 2-3 years – 0.05-0.1 g;
• 4-5 years – 0.1-0.2 g;
• 6-7 years – 0.2 g;
• 8-14 years – 0.25-0.3 g.

The frequency of prescription is 2-3 times a day.

Special Instructions

When using sodium metamizole, red staining of urine due to excretion of the metabolite is possible.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity,
• inhibition of hematopoiesis (agranulocytosis, cytostatic or infectious neutropenia),
• severe hepatic or renal dysfunction,
• prostaglandin bronchial asthma,

hereditary hemolytic anemia associated with glucose-6-6 deficiency.
