Acyclovir is active against Herpes simplex types 1 and 2, Varicella zoster virus, Epstein Barr virus and cytomegaloviruses.
Indications
Skin itching, colds, herpesSkin and mucous membrane infections caused by Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, genital herpes, shingles, varicella.

How to take, the dosage
Externally. The drug is applied 5 times a day (every 4 hours) with a thin layer on the affected and adjacent skin areas.
Interaction
When used externally, no interaction with other drugs was found.
Special Instructions
To achieve maximum therapeutic effect it is necessary to start using the drug as soon as possible after the onset of infection (at the first signs of the disease: burning, itching, tingling, a feeling of tension and redness).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir and other components of the drug.
Side effects
Hyperemia, dryness, skin peeling; burning, inflammation in contact with mucous membranes.
Allergic dermatitis may develop.
Pregnancy use
Adequate and controlled clinical safety studies of the drug during pregnancy have not been conducted. Use is indicated only when the estimated benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.
Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.
